JainParichay is a matrimonial platform. We collect the profile, family, and preference details you provide so we can suggest suitable matches and let you connect with other members.

We never sell your personal data. We use it only to run JainParichay: to show profiles on the site, to match you with suitable families, and to process it with the help of AI and the service providers listed below.

What we collect

• Account details: mobile number, email, and authentication identifiers.
• Profile details you enter: photos, biodata, horoscope, and preferences.
• Verification details, if you choose to verify: the ID document you upload, your sangh reference and, for a background check, the education, employment and reference details you give us.
• Biodata shared with our community: a profile can also be created from a biodata that was shared within the Jain community. The person it describes can claim it, edit it, hide it or ask us to remove it.
• Usage data: interests sent, shortlists, and messages, used to run the service.

How we use it

• To build your profile and show it to other members.
• To match profiles by sect, community, diet, age, your preferences and, where both charts are given, Gun Milan.
• To fill in the form from an uploaded biodata. You review the details before creating the profile.
• To deliver notifications you have opted into (SMS, email, WhatsApp).
• To keep the platform safe and prevent misuse.

Who processes it for us

We share personal data only with service providers that help us run JainParichay, and only for that purpose: AI processing of uploaded biodata (Anthropic), sending SMS, WhatsApp and email messages, taking payments (Razorpay), and hosting and storage. They may not use it for anything else. We also share it when the law requires us to.

Your choices

You control who can see your contact details, and you can edit your profile or hide it from everyone at any time from Settings. To request a copy of your data, contact us.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account yourself from Settings → Delete account. We confirm it is you with a code sent to your mobile number.

• Straight away, the profiles you created are hidden from every member, you are signed out on all your devices, and your access to profiles you help manage for another family ends. Anyone who helps manage your profiles is told.
• For 30 days you can change your mind: sign in and choose “Keep my account”, and everything comes back as it was.
• After 30 days we permanently erase your account: your mobile number and email, the profiles you created with their photos, ID documents and verification details, your messages, interests, shortlists and notifications. Conversations and interests with other members are removed for them too.
• We keep records of payments (amount, date and what was bought) without your name or contact details, because tax law requires it, and reports you made about other members, to keep the community safe.
• Messages we delivered to other members that mention your name stay in our delivery logs until those are cleared, within 90 days.
• Copies can stay for a limited time in our backups and system logs, and in the original biodata file a community profile was imported from. They are removed as those are cleared, and we do not use them to bring your account back.

Grievance officer

If you have a complaint or concern about how we handle your personal data, contact our grievance officer. We follow the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Intermediaries Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 where it applies.
